Trefoils on a fir tree
3. Mar 2025Snow
Trees with dense canopies that easily accumulate snow are more likely to get snow damage.
Damage
In summer, the wood is elastic, i.e. it can bend with weight and wind, whereas in winter it is brittle and gives way more easily under weight.
The branches of the trees snap off under the weight of the snow, leaving the tree with undecorative thorns, and there are also many hanging branches in the shoots.
