The inside of the net is covered with a transparent polyethylene film that creates a favourable microclimate for the plant. Tubex Shelterguard is designed to degrade under UV light in two stages. Firstly, the polyethylene film degrades in about 3 years and the mesh material in about 7 years. The top edge of the mesh is protected to prevent damage to the plant when branches rest on the top edge of the cover. The support stick in the picture is not included in the price.
